Greensboro, NC Real Estate Home Report:
The Greensboro Home Market Report as of May 31, 2011 shows some positive trends. Greensboro homes under contract have increased by 23% when compared to the same month last year. However, it is difficult to compare the number of homes under contract and sold this year compared to last year because of the Federal Home Buyers Tax Credit, which provided up to $8,000 to buyers who had homes under contract by April 30, 2010 and closed by June 30. As a result, there was a large spike in homes sold during the first part of 2010, which leveled off significantly for the rest of 2010. Check out the details below.

Comments: The number of active homes for sale is down 13% compared to May 2010 but has increased by 2% when compared to April 2011. Less homes on the market is good news for sellers because of decreased competition.

Comments: The number of homes newly listed has decreased by 4% compared to May 2010 and has decreased by 10% compared to last month.
